Day 1: Reykjavik and the Golden Circle
On the first day of your 10-day driver-guided tour of Iceland’s Ring Road, your private guide will pick you up in Reykjavik and take you on a journey through some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders, starting with the Golden Circle.
Thingvellir National Park
Your first stop will be Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is both geologically and historically significant. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the tectonic boundary between the North American and Eurasian plates, visible in the form of a dramatic rift valley. Gullfoss Waterfall

Day 2: South Coast and Vatnajökull National Park
On the second day of your 10-day driver-guided tour of Iceland’s Ring Road, you’ll explore the stunning South Coast of Iceland, known for its dramatic black sand beaches and breathtaking glaciers.

On a guided glacier hike in Skaftafell National Park, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the stunning Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe and one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders in Iceland. Depending on your mobility level, you can choose from various options for glacier hiking, ranging from easy to more challenging hikes.
For those with limited mobility, a shorter and more leisurely glacier walk can be arranged, allowing you to experience the glacier’s beauty and grandeur without too much exertion. For those who are physically fit and looking for a more challenging hike, a longer and more strenuous hike can be arranged, taking you deeper into the glacier’s heart and offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 3: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and East Fjords
On the third day of your 10-day driver-guided Iceland’s Ring Road tour, you’ll explore the stunning Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and the picturesque East Fjords.
Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
Your first stop of the day will be at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, a stunning lake filled with icebergs of all shapes and sizes. You’ll have the opportunity to take a boat ride among the icebergs or admire their beauty from the shore. You may even spot seals lounging on the icebergs or swimming in the lagoon.
Diamond Beach

Höfn Fishing Village

East Fjords Scenic Drive
From Höfn, you’ll continue along the scenic East Fjords, a rugged and remote area known for its picturesque fishing villages, towering mountains, and pristine fjords. You’ll be able to stop at various viewpoints and take in the stunning scenery.

Day 4: Lake Mývatn and Surrounding Area
The Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach are some of the most beautiful attractions in Iceland. On the fourth day of your tour, your guide will collect you from your locally-based accommodation as you set off to explore these two amazing destinations.
Dettifoss Waterfall
Your first stop of the day will be Dettifoss Waterfall, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe, with an average flow of 193 cubic meters of water per second. You’ll have the opportunity to hike down to the waterfall and feel the power of the water as it cascades down the rocky cliffs.
Námaskarð Geothermal Area
Next, you’ll visit the Námaskarð Geothermal Area, an otherworldly landscape of bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and brightly colored mineral deposits.
You’ll have the opportunity to walk among the geothermal features and witness the power and beauty of Iceland’s geothermal energy.
Lake Mývatn
Your final stop of the day will be Lake Mývatn, a shallow lake surrounded by volcanic landscapes and unique geothermal features.
You’ll have the opportunity to explore the area, including the pseudocraters of Skútustaðagígar, the lava fields of Dimmuborgir, and the Krafla volcano.

Day 5: North Iceland and Akureyri
On the fifth day of your 10-day driver-guided tour of Iceland’s Ring Road, you’ll explore the charming town of Akureyri and the stunning natural wonders of North Iceland.
Akureyri Town
Join your private driver in the morning as you travel to Akureyri, Iceland’s second-largest city and the cultural capital of the North.

Day 6: Skagafjörður and Northwest Iceland
Join your driver guide in the morning as you set off to explore the scenic Skagafjörður Valley and the charming Glaumbær Farmhouse Museum, as well as Hvítárvatn Lake.

Your itinerary for the day begins at Dynjandi Waterfall, a breathtaking natural wonder that cascades down a series of seven waterfalls with a total height of over 100 meters.
Depending on your interests and mobility, you can hike up to the top of the falls or simply enjoy the stunning views and feel the power of the water as it rushes past.
Ísafjörður Town

Kirkjufell Mountain
